The works notification details three areas requiring changes to traffic and pedestrian conditions, alongside the supply of water to be temporarily impacted.
As part of the Cowra Hospital Redevelopment bulk earthworks has commenced on site. Upon commencement of earthworks, some soil stockpiles have been identified as containing Asbestos Containing Material (ACM). Work is now taking place to remove hazardous material, including asbestos. All construction activities will be carried out with the health and safety of the local community as our key priority.
As part of the Cowra Hospital Redevelopment work is required to provide a new permanent sewer connection to the property, No 2 Ina Drive, Tresillian Family Care Centre. Ina Drive will be closed out at high intersection with Carleton Street as show on the map
Health Infrastructure has engaged Richard Crookes Constructions to undertake the main works for the Cowra Hospital Redevelopment. Richard Crookes Constructions has began establishing site. The site establishment works include placing the site sheds, site investigation works, pedestrian and vehicular access points as well as enabling works.
Health Infrastructure and Richard Crookes Constructions place great importance on minimising construction impacts, including parking. Richard Crookes Constructions understands that management of parking and access around the hospital site is critical and management strategy for construction worker vehicles and traffic for the duration of the project has been prepared.

Richard Crookes Constructions will begin establishing site in late November 2023 with main works including construction of the new hospital to begin in January 2024. The site establishment works will include placing the site sheds, completing additional site investigation works as well as pedestrian and vehicular access points.
